Bacardi distillery in Nassau

Has anyone toured the Bacardi Distillery in Nassau recenlty? What is the best wasy to get there from the port?

We did this last year...however we were not on a cruise. We rented a scooter & toured the island. The distillery is beyond the airport on the other side of the island.

DH & I thougth it was well worth the trip. Fun drive, scenic views, the facilities were clean, tropical & very friendly. Beautiful bar tasting area, very tropical w/thached roof, very generous in their samples..in fact they were, I'm guessing, those 8 oz ++ glasses they personally mixed for you.

They would have kept giving us more, however we were on the scooter..

those were yummy drinks.

I would ask a taxi driver what he would charge for a "day" trip...or if advertuorous, the scooter rental is right as you get off the ship. But you can only carry a couple of bottles on one scooter:D
