pepperrn Posted December 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2008 Has anyone been in cabin 4212 on the QM2 before? If so, is it different from the other B4 category cabins? Thanks:) Hi. Internally 4212 will be similar to other "sheltered" "balcony" cabins. There is a single person sofa bed for a third passenger (if you are travelling as a trio). The "balcony" will also be the same as others on decks 4 5 6. Your cabin may experience more movement in really rough seas than those further forward (but less than the ones at the bow or higher up in the superstructure). You may (but it's unlikely) feel more vibration here than in many other cabins because the four props are located beneath you (two slightly forward, two almost directly below) several decks down. The only real difference I can see is that you are located above the G32 Night Club. In the early voyages of QM2 the aft two "balcony" cabins on each side of the ship (4208,4212,4223,4225) (and inside cabin 4210) were priced cheaper (then they were called B7) than the cabins forward on deck 4 (then called B6). There must have been a reason to explain why they were less costly, further aft? Noisy? Hope this helps, have a great time.
