txelle Posted September 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2009 My friend and I really want to snorkel the reef at Caye Caulker. I've looked at Coral Breezes' website and it looks like the only excursion they offer also includes snorkeling with stingrays. We had already decided to do the Rays, Reef and Rum Point tour in Grand Cayman. Would it be sting ray overload to do the Coral Breezes tour in Belize and see the stingrays in Grand Cayman, too? I am having the hardest time figuring out an excursion for this port even though we chose our particular cruise specifically to go to Belize! tinkr2 Posted September 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2009 You should do the stingrays in cayman but book it with one of the tours that does a snorkel trip over the reef. belize is famous for cave tubing. it is so much fun. We have done it twice and everyone loved it.
Will in sunny FL Posted September 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2009 When you are with Coral Breeze you are not doing the Rays that long to really matter. The Rays as shown by Coral Breeze will beat GC hands down as there will be only about 15 people there as opposed to GC with hundreds. And with Coral Breeze, you get the local lunch on Caye Caulker which can be really great ! Good luck. Bill in FL
txelle Posted September 11, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 11, 2009 Thanks for the replies everyone! Regarding cave tubing, we thought about doing that but eventually came to the realization that that really didn't interest us at all. I'm not sure why but every time we would talk about it neither of us seemed too excited. Maybe if we ever get to go back to Belize we will do it! Coral Breeze sounds fun but we decided to go with Eco Tours. They have a snorkel-only tour although we go to Bannister Island afterwards instead of Caye Caulker. I guess we'll just have to go on another cruise soon so we can see and do everything we want! ;)
