Dawn stateroom sizes - with 2 adults and 1yo?!?

I've only been on a handful of cruises before and have booked balcony rooms. We are traveling with our 1yo daughter this year and funds are a bit tighter than before.

 

I am considering booking an outside room to save money and wonder how we will fit in there?

 

She will have a pack n play in the room.

 

Anyone travel the Dawn with an infant? How did it work? I plan to spend more time in the room bc of her naptimes, but really don't want to put out the extra money this time- is it really worth it?

 

PS- the outside is $700 and the balcony is $1000. The $600 saved would be our spending money in the casino! (In laws coming also- they will babysit for us... as I am not leaving her in the room to play the casino in case anyone is wondering- lol!) :)

We went on the Dawn with our 1 yo 2 years ago - we had fun! pack and play is a good idea - or they have cribs if you request them.

 

Not many people know this, but they do have a room for tots under 2 to play in (with their parents). it's on deck 7 I believe to the front of the ship. there are a whole bunch of toys in there; basically it's a conference room that they turn into a nursery from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
