Thanks Are you booking direct with Vatican ? If so it should include admission. I would add though I was at Vatican museum in december, we paid normal admission and hired audio guide for 7 euros. It was great, we could go at own pace, listen again and again to same info and so easy to use. Everything has a number on it and you just type number into machine. http://mv.vatican.va/3_EN/pages/z-Info/MV_Info_Servizi_audio01.html
nparmelee Posted September 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2009 If that is the tour through the Vatican web site then, yes, it does include admission. If its with another tour operator, you need to check more with them. We also used the audio guides this year, had done a tour our previous visit. The tours do not go to every room, most of them pass the Etruscan museum rooms and a few other areas. The audio guides can be dry, I had not found any third party museum guides, probably because they change the path through the museums all the time, but the ones we rented at the museums were informative. The Rick Steves audio guide of the Sistine Chapel was entertaining.
