Park & Cruise in Mobile with The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel

Has anyone done the park & cruise with The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel in Mobile recently ? Would like to hear if anyone was pleased they did it or wish they had not . We sail on Sept 17th on the Holiday so we need to finalize our hotel. Thanks.... :confused:

We were very pleased with our stay there last month! Beautiful hotel and great service. Ask for a "cruise ship" view when you book.

Hi! I'm back!

 

Here's my review that I posted on Trip Advisor:

 

We stayed at this hotel one night pre-cruise on their Park and Cruise Package. It was a great deal at $119 per night with parking for the duration of the cruise. And you don't actually have to have a car parked there to get this price, which is lower than their regular room rate. We had 2 rooms and one car and the reservationist told us to book both rooms with the Park and Cruise and save $50!

 

The hotel is across from the cruise terminal and we had a great view of the ship. The rooms were spacious and decorated with a "cruise ship" theme. The beds were comfortable.

 

We checked in very late, so the only time for the shuttle to the ship was noon. However, they must have added another shuttle, because they called in the morning to see if we wanted to go earlier (which we did). The shuttle is a Lincoln Navigator. Nice!

 

When we got back to Mobile, we had to wait 30 minutes for the shuttle to pick us up. The port was not directing traffic very efficiantly, and our driver got caught in the traffic. She told us they were planning to switch to 15 passenger vans once the Fantasy came to Mobile, to better handle the crowds.

 

The driver dropped us at our car in the parking garage! No schlepping luggage from the front of the hotel to the parking garage. Great service!

 

I would highly recommend this hotel!

Thank you so much for the info & pictures. I did book it for the same rate and as per your advice asked for the ship view ! Now we just have to wait for the 12 days to pass....LOL
