Mr. Nice Fruit Stand by Taxi??

We will be arriving on Dominica on the Caribbean Princess on Thursday, Dec. 11. We dock at 7 a.m. but we have a whale watching trip book for 12:45. Would there be enough time to take a taxi to Mr. Nice Fruit Stand, see another site or two, & make it back for whale watching at 12:45? How far is the Fruit Stand from Roseau? What other sites are around it? Is it anywhere around Morne Bruce which overlooks the city? Can you experience his fruit stand by just dropping in by taxi or do you have to be part of a tour group? How much do you think a taxi would cost to get there & back! Sorry for so many questions. Thanks for any info you can give me. P.S. Anyone got a link to a map of Dominica that might help me get my bearings?
