drive from airport to Old San Juan

We are looking at renting a car at the airport in San Juan to drive to our hotel pre-cruise in OSJ. Do you know how far? Map? (having a hard time finding through mapquest). Easy to navigate?

It's an easy drive from SJU to Old San Juan.

I am sure they will have a map for you (and if you ask, they will tell you how to get there).

It is about a 10 min drive, maybe 12 miles.

 

Take RT 26 Oeste (West) , stay on 26, it will meet other roads at a bridge with a traffic light. Going through the light you are on OSJ. You have 2 options:

Either take the top route- stay to the right- you will end up by El Morro fort (there is an underground parking deck on the left).

Or take the bottom route- move 2 lanes to the left and go toward the left (but don't turn toward the convention center). This will take you into the south side of OSJ, right by the cruise ship docks. There are a number of parking decks up one street off the water.
