Maritime Museum

Recommended Posts

Irene, I would allow about 90 minutes. The Maritime Museum is an easy walk from where you ship docks and there are many other things to do in that area.

The Titanic exhibit in the Maritime Museum is so good I recommend that people skip the Titanic tours. The Maritime Museum will take US $.

The Pier 21 Immigration, (where you ship docks,) museum is also great. I like it so much I visited twice during one visit to Halifax.

Is it a long walk from the cruise ship pier to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic? I will be in Halifax the third week in October for one day. The museum is just about the only place I haven't visited in my five other visits.

The Museum is very walkable from where the ship docks. There are 3 floors to it so you can do as much or as little as you choose. There is also a gift shop. Check to see what they have as it changes from time to time.
