Hi all

My wife and I are off on our first cruise on Oct 18/09.

We are very experienced land lubbers but nothing other than dive boats for us so far.Would like to say thankyou to all the people who take the time to post here as it has helped us out imersuably.

I have only one question that I cannot find an answer to and it is this.

Our cabin is 6181 on empress deck would appreciate information as to the location ie. is it noisy, easy access to balance of ship, good visibility out the window?

Thanks again

Happy Cruising All :)

Hey, welcome to Cruise Critic! :D

You have picked a great ship for your first cruise. I have been on 2 of Legend's sister ships (Legend is a Spirit class ship) and LOVED them both. They are my favorite class of ship on Carnival. Very easy to find your way around, and a little smaller and less crowded than the Conquest class.

Looks like your cabin, 6181 on deck 6, is pretty close to mid-ship, about halfway between the forward and mid-ship elevators. You will have a nice balcony (a suite ~ nice!) so the view will be great. The decks above and below you are passenger cabins, and not public areas, so that is good because it should be a nice, quiet cabin. You will have easy access to the rest of the ship.

You are only 3 decks down from deck 9, Lido deck, where the buffet restaurant, pools, deli, pizza, ice cream, drink stations are. A quick elevator ride will get you to the rest of the public areas, on decks 2 & 3....dining room, showroom, shops, casino, bars, atrium, etc.

Enjoy your first cruise......nothing like that first one! :)

And here is a link to the reegular roll call for this cruise. People not with the group (along with some of us from Saints & Sinners) post in here. (Don't let the group name scare you...LOL!). But the Legend is a great ship with great ports...our personal favorite:D Come join the roll calls and get to know some of the folks you'll be sailing with. It's alot of fun to know people on board:)
