We did a 4 day cruise over Christmas... it was great fun and also our first cruise... The ship was all decorated.. lights and trees and the midnight buffets were all Christmas themed, very cool food carvings ( don't think any ships have the midnight buffet anymore though) Christmas music playing all the time...The ports we went to were decorated for Christmas and I loved seeing all the palm trees decorated with Christmas lights! The one thing to keep in mind is that a lot of businesses will be closed if you are in a port ON Christmas day...we were in Key West on that day and the only shops that were open were the ones owned by Jewish shopkeepers, as they do not celebrate Christmas, that is not to say that excursion companies won't be operating in full force... they were, but Margaritaville was closed, for instance...it was a wonderful way to spend Christmas with my daughters! I don't remember seeing Santa...I believe they have a non demoninational service...It was my first Christmas away from Michigan and I'd do it every year if I could :)
