Drew B Posted September 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2009 I like to get to the port early and get in one of the first groups. I don't mind waiting a little while, but wouldn't want to wait hours. Right now, I'm planning to get there between 11:00 and 11:30. Does this sound reasonable? cruisin_doodles Posted September 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2009 I am curious too. It is interesting that in all the reviews I have read about the Splendor, it seems that most people board around 1pm (no matter when they get to the pier). I think I will get there around 11-11:30 also. 1 week to go!:D
southbayer Posted September 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Well, sailed out of this port alot as you can see.... And the dome doors opened usually about 12:25pm, then you go in thru security, and then wait for about 15 min in another line inside, then snake over to get your first photo taken, then get to the escalators upstairs then go thru the last security checkpoint, then finally walk the gang plank to the ship. So, usually onboard by 1:10pm I am curious too. CRUISING71 Posted September 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2009 We got to Long Beach around 11:40am...give our luggage to the porter, because we have the tags already...check in and got number 5. By the time we got on the ship and started our lunch at the Lido deck...it was exactly 1:15pm!!
