I am looking for information on going to Peggy's Cove with a private company. We are booked on the carraige trolley, but Peggy's Cove is not on that excursion.

Try Bob Davison with Blue Diamond Tours - we just got back from a private tour with him and it was excellent. He does an itinerary with Peggy's Cove in it or he will custom to your taste. Very nice, knowledgeable gentleman.

We went to Peggy's Cove with Jonathan Duru of Your Cab charters. His website is http://yourcab.ca/. He gave us a very nice tour.

I think any of these private tour companies would need to be reserved ahead of time. They will pick you up at the pier. There is a chance you could get a taxi tour at the pier, but I wouldn't depend on it, not if it is something you really want to do.
