abob Posted May 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2004 Holland America's dress code for formal nights : " Gentlemen: Although business suits or tux are suggested attire for formal evenings they are certainly not required. You are welcome to wear a jacket and tie on formal nights." Will RCI follow?
DFritz Posted May 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2004 RCI has always said " suggested attire" not "mandatory attire". That suggestion is meant to inform you as to what most of the passengers will be wearing not what you have to wear. 'Til my next cruise
superjerryw Posted May 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Based on what I have seen the last couple of cruises, a jacket and tie will be a step up for some men... Donuts, is there anything they can't do....
abob Posted May 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted May 14, 2004 We are going to cruise port (out of Bayonne) on the train so really want to travel LIGHT. Cutting down on a few outfits helps us. This has nothing to do with "formal" vs. not formal. When we go to cruise port by car we can take more outfits.
