estella15 Posted October 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2009 How was the kayak safari? DH and I are thinking of doing it in Jan, but it's hard to find info on it. Could you please share what it was like and if you though it was worth it? Thanks!
ALEZ Posted November 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2009 We did the Kayak Safari in July. We loved it, but it does take a lot of energy! We stopped a couple of times for our guide to tell us history/info. The water was kind of choppy and we had to kayak a good ways out to a platform. We got on the platform to get our gear on for snorkeling. There wasn't a whole lot to see, but we had a great time. Then you have to kayak back in. You had better have a good relationship with your spouse because you really have to work together to keep your kayak going in the right direction! Our guide said that this excursion has a high divorce rate! The kayaking was really more than what we thought it would be, but in the end all three couples in our group had a great time. I would definitely recommend it.
estella15 Posted November 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Alez, thanks for the review! Could you tell me, what kind of history/info did your guide tell you? Also, was there a lot of wildlife to see while kayaking, or was it mostly just open water?
