MTJSR Posted September 14, 2009 #31 Share Posted September 14, 2009 Great pictures, but more appropriate to post a link, instead of clogging up the forum. Cruise Critic does host a photo gallery with a link at the top of this page. feel better?
cruisingready Posted September 14, 2009 #32 Share Posted September 14, 2009 Awesome pics. She was one of my most favorite ships. Perfect size. loved your nite shots
leoandhugh Posted September 14, 2009 #33 Share Posted September 14, 2009 I am always amazed when I see one of these large cruise ships in drydock, just how little is below the waterline compared to the huge superstructure above. Of course the weight of fuel, supplies, and engines help to compensate for the weight of all the cabins and public rooms above the waterline.

Carnival AZIPOD Posted September 14, 2009 Author #35 Share Posted September 14, 2009 I'm glad you guys are enjoying the photos. I'll go back in a few days to snap some more. Perhaps we'll see the results of the new work that will be done below the waterline.
Carnival AZIPOD Posted September 14, 2009 Author #36 Share Posted September 14, 2009 Great pictures, but more appropriate to post a link, instead of clogging up the forum. Cruise Critic does host a photo gallery with a link at the top of this page. I would never think about clogging up the forum. That's why these photos are self-hosting via hidden link in HTML language that's hidden within the thread. The actual photos ARE NOT hosted by CruiseCritic. :)

Carnival AZIPOD Posted September 14, 2009 Author #48 Share Posted September 14, 2009 Thanks, those are fantastic pictures! How long did it take from going into drydock before it was out of the water? Cheers, Peter I didn't stick around to catch everything. I took those photos in two seperate session. However, last time I stayed around for the Carnival Spirit and it took only a few hours to get her hauled up in the air after they got her into the dock.
