marysb Posted September 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2009 What is the water temp like in Jan? Just wondering about planning a beach day (or not).
househunter Posted September 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2009 Better than the springtime water temps but not like the peak time which is in the fall. We were there in December last year and we swam and snorkled with no problem unlike in May when the water was freezing! I think you will be fine with a beach day!:)
jasmith52 Posted September 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2009 We were there on a cruise last January. The weather that time of year is variable. In the morning the sun was out in Cabo and it was warm. However in the afternoon it clouded over and it got very chilly. All of the restaurants are open-air style so there was no escape from the cool wind. It wouldn't have been the best beach day. A similar thing happened in Mazatlan. Puerto Vallarta was warm though. Out at sea on the ship it was too cool to lay out at the pool. That left more time for the buffet.
