soda card

Fountain means served from a machine as opposed to canned or bottled. So a can in the frig in room will cost you but a glass from one of the bars won't. Soda card can be used in all meal venues.

It was not allowed to be used at Michael's Club on Century last year.

Above poster is almost correct - cannot use the card for the in room mini bar fridge or for room service and at one or two of the bars on board. Otherwise, you can use it everywhere. When you buy the card, they give you a nice travel type mug with a lid that you can take to have filled throughout the cruise. It was nice that they would fill it even in the theatre. Of course, I wouldn't recommend taking it to dinner - that would probably look kind of tacky. At dinner, once you show the card to the waited the first night, you shouldn't need to show it again. Your waiter will just know.

what is the cost of a soda card??? Anyone one know---------
I think we paid $5.50/day on Celebrity and $6.00/day on RCL. We found, in the past, that Celebrity will only charge you for the days remaining on the cruise, but RCL charges for the full cruise no matter when you make the purchase.

Check with the place you make the purchase, we have found that often if you buy it right away, in a US port, you will be charged sales tax. Some of the venues don't it the register isn't programmed to do that. We always ask before we pull our our card.

Almost forgot, in addition to the daily rate, the regular bar tip percentage is added.
