bonniemari Posted September 15, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 15, 2009 You used to register at Ocean Players Club dot com. I forgot about it last month before our Freedom cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday. Imagine my surprise when I opened my cabin door and the room was decorated with streamers and banners. I thought they were from my DH or my friends that were cruisng with us but when I picked up the card that was on the dresser they were from the Carnival Players Club. There was also a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. I was traveling with my DH, 2 friends and their DH's-it was kind of funny. Each of them thought the other had the cabin decorated cause when they called at different times they were told the decorations had already been taken care of. I also had the letter with the free drink and the 500 points. I wrote a thank note (finally got to use that Platinum stationary) and gave it to the casino host. I told her how surprised I really was cause I had forgotten to register at the OPC website. She said that was no longer necessary-they keep up with it you are a member of the Players Club. We are cruising again in Nov and I was curious so I went to the OPC and there is no longer a place to register your upcoming cruise. I called the number and was told the same thing that the casino host told me. The Players Club will know my DH & I are on the cruise without having to register beforehand. Sargent_Schultz Posted September 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 15, 2009 Most people just get the free drink and 500 points. If you gamble more, you get more.

Kinda like winning before I even played.:) Hope they hook you up with some freebees.
