Sovereign Room 9504???

Does anyone know exactly how bad this "obstructed view" is? We would like the Deluxe Oceanview stateroom because of the extra square footage (there will be 4 of us), but are wondering if we should go with a regular Oceanview since 9504 is the only Deluxe left... help??

9504 is an obstructed view per a number of webpages I have use to price the trip and also the TA I spoke with... That's why I'm unsure of how "obstructed" it's view is... it's an exception on Deck 9.

I'm looking at an actual photograph I took of the Sovereign last October and comparing it to deck plans, it looks like 9504's obstruction is a small staircase that leads down to a little platform behind the first lifeboat. I'm sure it's a crew staircase. I can email you a scan of the photo if you'd like to see it, just let me know your email address.

It is a small crew staircase. We had the room next to it. Personally, the window did not do much for me as it was small and not easy to see out of anyway. I would take that room if there are four of you.
