Great review -- loved every minute I was reading it! We leave on January 17 for this same cruise. I noticed you said that the weather was cold when you did it in 2007. Cold as in Capris and t-shirt or cold as in you need a jacket all the time -- even in the ports?

One question.. What did you think of the pink???

I actually didn't mind the pink..it was definately there :eek: everywhere...and bold... It wasn't in our cabin which helped alot. It was kind of whimsical which I didnt mind for vacation. Wouldn't have it in my house though!

Thank you for the compliment..posting the review sure made my work day go fast ;) today....

About the temps, well to be fair, they said there was an abnormal cold front that year but..parts were cold. Definately jacket cold. And, keep in mind, we are from Michigan so it doesn't take much to make us feel warm. There was also no laying out by the pool on the first+ day leaving LA that time or the last day coming back. The itenerary we did (on Norwegian Star) went to Acapulco, PV, Ixtapa and Cabo. PV we went to the beach but couldn't get in the water b/c it the water was freezing and the air was maybe 70? and in Cabo we wore jackets.

Thanks . :) You will definately have a great time. This ship is so nice with so much to see and do that we didn't get to see it all. For instance, we never even made it up to the mini-golf area or the sports deck. I guess we'll have to do it again:confused: lol

As Suzie said, the Hyatt is fantastic!!!! The room service is very expensive but our harbor view room was fantastic!!! We enjoyed watching the the Splendor dock that Sunday morning!!!!

shonandsuzie - loved your review. We flew to Cabo on 9/10 for son's wedding. My husband is an early riser and on Friday he woke me up at 5:30 am telling me to come on the balcony. We watch your Carnival Splendor come into Cabo. It was a beautiful sight and wished we were on it. We were at the Riu Santa Fe and had a great view. We loved our time in Cabo but also love to cruise.

This upcoming cabin is an aft corner cabin with a wrap around balcony. This cabin is really cool! The layout of the cabin is different and probably only for 2 people.

I would have to agree, wholeheartedly, with the Sarg. Although I didn't do much with the cruise critic group (I did make the Meet'n'Greet ;)), I found Shonandsuzie to be the "tops". Most definitely a great fun couple. Love the pics and review also, Shon. Enjoyed meeting many of the group and Goose and his assistant.

I talked with the man/girl that lost the bet. He bet against the Lakers :(, lost $4000 to his girlfriend. He then booked this cruise with his girlfriend and she agreed to pay her share of the cruise and return $2,000 if he would wear this outfit all the time WHILE ON THE SHIP (he was allowed to wear his normal clothing while in port). Says something about betting against the Lakers, doesn't it. :D
