LaQuinta Inn & Suites Miami Airport East

We will be going on a cruise in January with 3 other couples and looking for affordable hotel. I was looking at above hotel but 2 of the couples arrive in Miami at 9:35 a.m. How hard would it be to get somewhere downtown to see some sights from here? Is there bus service, etc. Thank you!

I believe you can get a bus from somewhere near the hotel...but it is a bit of a walk so would not recommend that. You can always get a taxi though.

 

I stayed there a while back 2006 so alot may have changed since then.

Rent a car if you want to see the sights... For your own safety there is no way you want to take a bus in Miami! From there to downtown Miami or the beaches you will go through some of the nastiest neighborhoods in the country! :eek:

 

That hotel is not in the greatest area anyway, personally I'd look at something downtown or on South Beach.
