Grand Cayman Dive and Stingray City?

We're newly certified Open Water Divers, hoping to have our Advanced Certification before our cruise in February. The cruise will be our first opportunity to dive anything beyond just local quarries, so we're looking to dive as many ports as possible :D. But, we really want to do Stingray City in Grand Cayman also. Does anyone know if we can possibly find an excursion that would allow us to go do the interaction part with the Stingrays and then a dive there or nearby also? Most of the excursions for Stinray City include interacting with the Stingrays and then snorkeling, but we would really like to get in a dive at this port if possible. Any suggestions?

The trips that do stingray city then offer snorkeling as a second stop are not the trips for you if you want to dive. Those trips go to the Sandbar where the water is only 3-4 ft deep and you stand on the sand. For scuba you want to do to the original Stingray City where the water is 15-20 ft deep. Yes, there are a few dive operators that do dive there as a second dive after first doing a North wall dive. If the ship offers a scuba excursion that includes Stingray City, I'd do that.

I'd contact http://www.neptunesdivers.com and see if they can accommodate your desire to dive Stingray City (not the sandbar site). I've gone would with them before. Nice people. If Casey can't accommodate you, ask her for a recommendation.

Last resort would be to to google stingray city scuba then look for one of the cruise excursion websites that offer the trip.
