ws293 Posted May 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Hi everyone, I would like to hear some comments and feedback on your experience of dropping off your car rental near Port Canaveral and does the car rental company provide free shuttle ride to your ship? How fast and smoothly was the process after you drop off your car? I'm planning to fly to Orlando, pick up a rental car at Orlando. Spend a few days there, then drive to Port Canaveral to return the car and get on the Mariner of the Seas. Is there a particular car rental company you can recommend? petersonwith3 Posted May 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Gotta use AVIS! We did exactly what you describe and it was perfect! The satellite office near the port (in some hotel lobby) was less than 5 minutes away, the service was great, and there was no drop off charge either way. We brought our cel phone and called direct to them once our ship came in and they were there to pick us up in a heartbeat. parr0thead Posted May 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2004 We did the same thing, but we used Budget. It went smooth as can be. They have a free shuttle and was very close to the ship. They dropped us off right at the door!!!!!! ws293 Posted May 15, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Thanks everyone for your feedback. I'll look into AVis and Budget to see which one will give us a better price.
