Who is the Serenade CD? I will be on the Ship May 30. Who is the captain.

We are sailing the Serenade June 6, one week after you. I emailed RCCL and asked the same questions, plus what the entertainment would be. Here is their response. I'm not sure the entertainment would be the same, but I'm sure the Captain and CD would.



You Captain at that time will be Captain Stig Bjoernar Nilsen
And the Cruise Director at that time will be Bill Brunkhorst who might possible have to sign off, In that case Allan Brooks will be returning.

We just came back from the Serenade's Panama crossing April 24 - May 8. Our captain Stig Nilsen finished on the 2nd last night and the new captain took over. Our CD was Allan Brooks; he was fantastic so if you get him you are in for a good time. We enjoyed the entertainment. My partner would love Kenny Rogers - we had the Diamonds and Johny Thunder. Have fun on the Serenade - it is a beautiful ship.

Sorry just re-read that - Kenny JAMES not Kenny Rogers!!!

We saw Kenny James on the Explorer back in 2002. If I remember correctly, he was a former contestant and winner on Star Search. He sang a song called "Butterfly Kisses" that made me cry- about a man reminiscing about his "little girl" who is now getting married. Also did a tribute to Motown. He was very entertaining...

I'm assuming that Allan Brooks will be our CD on June 6 cruise. It's good to hear that he is good. CDs don't make or break the cruise fun, but it's nice to have a good one, which we haven't for a while. I wonder who will be the captain, since RCCL didn't mention that he would be leaving.

My husband would love it if Kenny Rogers was going to be the entertainment!! I guess Kenny James will do. We've already seen Bobby Arvon. It's a pretty good show. We were just hoping for something new. Again, we don't let the entertainment spoil our cruise.
