Redboat Posted September 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Hi all, The princess has been told that the state room showers are tiny, can anyone give any details on the actual size of the showers on Ventura instead of hearsay. Cheers Paul
tom_uk Posted September 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2009 Actual dimensions, no. I would have to say that I found them pretty typical of cruise ship showers. I've certainly encountered smaller showers (Braemar, MSC Sinfonia) but probably not larger (or at least not larger enough to really notice). I've only ever cruised in pretty standard cabins; e.g. on Ventura we were in a standard balcony cabin.
maritime mick Posted September 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2009 They are a bit on the small side. I noted that the shower gel bottle was mounted higher - at around eye level - any lower and you would bang your elbows/shoulders on it!
bigpete47uk Posted September 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Can't quote actual dimensions but I'm 6ft 3" and 25 stone and they were plenty big enough for me. Pete.
Jackielan Posted September 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2009 They are more than adequate, I did find though that my elbows stuck to the shower curtain a little, but it hardly ruined my holiday !!!! Also, I did notice on the Ventura that the shower head was fixed and you couldn't pull it down to wash "other areas" and I'm not referring to behind your ears neither. On average we spend 10 mins twice a day in the shower when on holiday, so that makes 20 mins a day in total - its hardly worth worrying about. jackie
