Suite Perks Question

:cool:Where I can find the complete description of the suite perks? We are looking at penthouse suite on STAR, does the same persk apply to all AB - AE catagories (they are all listed as Penthouse Suite). I recalled I read it on some web site..... but I could not find it on ncl's official site.

 

I traveled on SUN in a Romance Suite before and had a very positive experience. But I forgot whether we had a complimentary bar set up? I only recall that we can choose one bottle of wine or liquor per day (don't know whether it is per person or per room) and there were two small complimentary bottle of champaign too.

 

Of course, the butler and concierage were both excellent and we really enjoyed the exclusive breakfast / lunch at Cagneys.

 

We tried similar accomodation on HAL and RCCL vessels, NCL's suite offers a winning combination of perks, services and even designs. We are considering an AE or an AB..... If any one can help us with a perk description, or direct us to a site we can read, will be great! Thanks...

Butler Service

The Butler liaises closely with the Concierge to provide 24-hour personalized service for the Villa/Suite guests who are given a direct phone or pager number to contact the Butler.

Each Butler is assigned to take care of an average of 9 Villas/Suites each (not available to guests in Mini-Suites). Services include:

 

Unpack luggage

Expedite dry cleaning processes

Shoe-shine service

Serve at Cocktail parties in Villas/Suites

Serve Dinners in Villas/Suites

Delivery of fresh fruit

Delivery of sodas/water/liquor/wine/newspapers if ordered (These are NOT complimentary in all Suite categories)

Delivery of movies from a DVD library

Ensure balconies/gardens are stocked with fresh towels/seat cushions

I'm confused, according to what I've read we do not get 3 bottles of booze and soda etc. in a Courtyard Villa. I've been told on 3 seperate occasions(including today) by NCL PCC that I get all the above listed perks including liquor. The day I booked my res. they e-mailed me a copy of what I get (which I still have a copy of). Can I expect them to honor what they told me at time of booking????

To the best of my knowledge Courtyard Villas have never received the free liquor set-up. We certainly never have. It has always only been the Garden Villas and Owner Suites that receive this. I'm really surprised they told you that because it has never been the case.

Re free liquor in courtyard villas.

 

I was told the same thing - three free bottles of booze - when we booked in January for a cruise on the Epic in October.

I was in a Corutyard villa last May and we definitely did not get 3 bottles of alchohol. The website shows that is for Owner's Suite, Deluxe Owner's Suite and Garden Villa's only.

 

IMO, if you were told you would get that in a Courtyard Villa and you don't have it in writing, they won't honor it.

Somebody working at NCL has screwed up terribly, and looked at the Garden Villa or Owners Suite perks, and told you incorrectly that courtyard suites get alcohol. Call back and ask to talk to a supervisor, and report the agent, so others don't get this false information.

After finding this site and reading many threads, I realized what I was told was not correct. However, I haven't cruised for years and was interested in the Epic, so there's nothing I would have done differently.

From who? NCL wrote you a letter and told you your Courtyard Villa would come with 3 bottles of free liquor?

They e-mailed me a list of what was included. On the list was the booze and the soda. It seems to me they sent the wrong list so I called back and they told that I got the right list and this stuff was included. So I have the e-mail with date and time and the person that sent it to me on it. So what do you think will they honor it?

Who knows? But you certainly know that it is not something you should receive based on your fare. Somebody just screwed up, and there's probably something in the fine print that protects them to correct the error. But who knows?

PLEASE take it from me... You can have printed out the entire NCL website.. you can have a copy of every email that NCL ever sent out to every one of their customers and you can have a video recording where the CEO Kevin Sheehan himself is saying that you, name you by name, should have three bottles of whatever in your suite, and when you try to get something done about it onboard they are going to tell you to take it up with the landline customer service when you get back home. The thing is somewhere on NCL.com it says what perks you get in a suite and for your specific suite.. and somewhere on NCL.com I am very sure they state that no individual with NCL can alter any offer that is made by NCL as a company so that is their protection from individual reps telling you incorrect information or sending you the wrong information in the mail or through an email. And I am also sure that it says somewhere on NCL that perks can and will be changed from time to time without any prior notice. Save yourself some grief and just realize you have been told something that isnt correct and go enjoy your cruise. The time you will put into trying to get those three bottles of booze will not equate the hours you would have to go through to just be told no in the end anyway.

 

And the reason I say "PLEASE take it from me" is that on our cruise last Nov I had every single bit of documention that you could have saying we were supposed to have XYZ which we did not have when we got onboard. They "tried" to get it resolved but never could and I took it as high up onboard as you could take it. Finally five weeks after we got back I got the issue taken care of. Total hours I put into getting it taken care of.. probably close to 20, at least, not including the hours put into it while onboard that are lost vacation hours I will never get back. Take the lesson I learned and let it go.

Simple answer no :( If you want 3 bottles in your courtyard villa you better order a bar setup. :) If you are lucky the team onboard will provide you with a free dinner in the Bistro with wine for your troubles.

The Epic Courtyard Villas are different than the Courtyard Villas on other ships. On the Epic, they are 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and there is only one other category that is higher. The Garden Villa category doesn't exist on Epic. Based on that, I'd say the bottles of booze WILL be provided to Courtyard Villa residents... on the EPIC only.

With 45 villas instead of 2 GVs and a handful of AAs I think your logic is flawed. The CV and the ABs on the other ships have two bedrooms and are in fact a bit bigger. I am glad you say we will get free booze but I think NCL has a different answer.

We never got 3 complimentary bottles in a Courtyard Villa, don't think that is one of the perks for that category.

 

Question is, if you book back-to-back in Owner's Suite, do you get a second setup on the eight day of the cruise?
