Suitcases-where to store them

Hello fellow cruisers,

Going on the Pride in 18 days and I'm sure you feel my excitement...huge question is ...What do I do with the empty suitcases once we get "moved in?" (There are 4 of us in an inside room :eek:).

They will fit nicely under the bed - lots of room for storage. Enjoy your cruise the "Spirit" class ships are fantastic.

Hello fellow cruisers,

We put them under the bed and in some cases, in the closet bottom. (Carry on and back pack go there)

Thank you all...I feel so silly, thought the beds were platform type with no access to underneath...I believe that's how they were on Royal.

To save even more room put the smaller suitcases in the bigger ones before putting under the bed. I also wish you the best of luck with 4 people in an stateroom! That will be some tight quarters.

Okay, since you now know where the suitcases go, let's talk about showers. 4 people in a quad you need to know about the spa showers:D...be sure to offer to be the one to 'make the sacrifice';) - you won't be disappointed.

As everyone else has said, we put them under the bed -- and use them as a handy hamper for the clothes we've worn.

Also under the bed - I throw in a couple of dryer sheets and put dirty laundry in them - zip them up and take them right to the laundry room when we get home. No clean clothes getting smelly - pack all clean clothes together. Spa shower is great idea. When we had 4 to a room - 2 adults - teenage daughter and son. Daughter got ready in the bathroom - my husband and I in room and son out on the balcony (only works when at sea - went out one time to change and forgot we were in port - mooned the Royal Carribean across from us - lesson learned) I also put dryer sheets in drawers to freshen up and use them instead of bug spray (critters hate the smell for some reason) Have a great cruise.

I tried to keep mine on the sofa and the room steward "hid" it under the bed. I pack clothes as I wear them so I like it handy. I'd pull it out and he'd put it back. After a couple of days I just left it there.

If you put your dirties in your suitcase, bring a paper or garbage bag to put them in along with your dryer sheet. This way your suitcase won't get the stinkies.:) (don't put your wet dirties in a PLASTIC bag though. Might get mold):p
