KevinsCruising Posted September 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Hi, We sailed on the Gem this past March. We are now sailing on the Dawn 10/4. I have a lot of casino coupons left over from the Gem. Do you think I can use them on the Dawn? Thanks
garycarla Posted September 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2009 If they are not printed with the GEMs name on them, and if they are using the same ones on the Dawn the week your sail, maybe. If the Dawn is not giving out or doing any coupons, then I doubt it.
MrLee Posted September 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 24, 2009 As GARYCARLA said, if they have GEM printed on them, probably not. However why not bring them anyway? It's worth a try regardless and they don't take up much room when you're packing. ;)
KevinsCruising Posted September 26, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Thanks..... I will bring them and see what happens. I think it says Gem on the cover but have to check individual coupons. Thanks again,
gtaylor Posted September 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2009 What are these casino coupons? Are they what you can order from NCL in advance of your cruise and have pre-delivered to the room for yourself or a friend? Thanks, gary
snorklinbarb Posted September 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2009 I got the book of coupons on the Jade when I signed up with CAS. Like KevinsCruising, I'll be taking them on the Dawn to use and give away.:) You can't order this booklet in advance.
sylteach Posted September 27, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I have never sailed with NCL before, and I do like to hit the casino on a cruise. Can anyone explain how we sign up for CAS and what do you get with the coupon books? Do they give you credits to play with-something like free play that is given to players at land casinos? I only play slots so is it worth it to sign up? Do the machines use ticket in-ticket out now? I was shocked on my last cruise on the Ryndam to actually get to use tokens and real nickels. What fun!!! Of course, I had to clean my hands every time I scooped up all the coins into my bucket. Any info appreciated! We plan on going on the Spirit next fall. You will get your card to play plus your coupon book. The coupon book will have coupons such as 20 dollars worth of chips for 10 dollars, some free play chips, etc. The slots do take tickets in and out plus real money. Good Luck
