Can you take a key lime pie with ya?

Everyone has heard of taking booze, soda, water, cigars, yadda yadda yadda on the ship, but can one bring a key lime pie back on the ship to enjoy later?

 

Well I know you "can" but is it allowed? :confused:

I don't see why not!! Kermit's on Greene St and Blond Giraffe (several locations) have special take-out bags which will keep your pie cold for hours. Enjoy!!!

Sweet!!!!!! I take it you would have to run it through the security check machine though. LOL!

 

They may have to taste it though to make certain it is safe. :p

When do you go on your cruise? If it works for you to take some aboard, it might work for me too. I really enjoy good key lime pie and it might be good to eat on the sail away.

Last year when we were there I was really sick so DH brought some on board for me. It did not seem to be any problem. I am not sure I would try to bring it back into the states though. Just eat it on board! :D

There are also Key Lime coconut patties sold by the box and you can take them anywhere. They're sold anywhere Key Lime pies are sold but are least expensive at Walgreens or the CVS on Duval Street.
