caljus Posted September 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Can't decide between Deluxe Sail & Snorkel w/Carnival, an ATV tour or a Jeep tour...have heard good things about all...anyone done at least 2 out of the 3? My previous visit to Coz was spent at sea...pigs must have been roaming with runny noses Shannon/Rosalie...sorry dolphin swim won't work for me...hear they will actually pee in the water and probably won't know it Thanks anyone! tkdtami Posted September 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2009 We just got back from a Carnival cruise (Fantasy Sept 19th from NOLA to Progrresso and then Coz, and back to NOLA) and my hubby and I did the Chankanaab park. Just took a taxi ($10) to the Park, brought our own snorkel gear, hung out under a nice palapa, chairs, right on the ocean. Literally steps away from the water. Drank a few margaritas which were VERY strong, ate a GREAT lunch of chicken enchiladas w/mole sauce, cheese, rice, beans (yum!), took a tour of the park and saw a bunch of iguanas, some replicas of ruins, and overall just a really nice park. They have lockers, showers, etc etc. An EASY day, which is just what we wanted. What did we spend? Well, the entrance was $16pp ($2 off pp online coupon) plus $10 cab to park, $10 cab to downtown Coz, lunch, margaritas and sodas were about $20. Locker rental $3. Overall a VERY inexpensive day! The cab from downtown to our pier cost $7 total, which we split with another couple ($5 each, incl tip). WAY cheaper than a ship excursion. Great day! Hope this helps!
