atlantic cruiser Posted September 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Will be on the Journey Starting Dec 4 from Barcelona to Miami. Am having a hard time deciding what to bring!! Anyone have some suggestions. Have done a spring transatlantic but never one in December so could use some help. Thanks, Rhonda
hancock Posted September 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I did a TA from Barcelona to San Juan last December. Barcelona was having a cold spell. It stayed cool until we left the Canary Islands. Every day after that is got warmer.
LuAnn Posted September 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 27, 2009 We did that route in '07 in early December. It was warm in the Canary Islands and mild in Barcelona. It's so hard to judge, I know! It does seem like it is always windy on the T/A's so we have never spent alot of time outdoors while on the ships. But if you have a balcony that can sometimes cut the wind and if it's sunny make sitting out there do-able! I guess the old advice of layering comes into play...as it always seems to! We love the Journey and are looking forward to having her visit SD in the new year! Please say Hi to the Captain Club hostess Liesl for me! She is our favorite staff person and we have been lucky enough to sail with her twice on the Journey! Have a great cruise! LuAnn
KODA C Posted September 27, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Remember the old saying "you can always take it off ,but you can't put it on". KC
atlantic cruiser Posted September 28, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Thanks for the advise. I guess layering is the best thing to do. We love TA's and am so looking forward to trying Azamara. Thanks again. Rhonda
