Cruising MSC with 21 month old

With the great feature from MSC that kids travel free we are looking at taking our 21 month old daughter on us if we take a cruise on the Poseria in January (She will be 21 months at cruise time)

Has anyone done this before? she is obviously to young for the kids club so what sort of things did anyone do with children? what about motion sickness and all that fun stuff?

how did you find the food for the little people?

for excursions we are sort of beach and relax and she loves water so she will love playing in the ocean. But how did people do sleeping arrangement did you bring like a play pen or how did that work?

The big problem is right now Air canada/westjet from canada will let us bring her two bags even if she is flying on our lap. but flying back to canada we are thinking of using NWA since they have a good price and even with the baggage it is less then air canada and wesjet.

So just looking for some advice from people whjo have done this with young ones.

Thank for all your help.

We sailed Lirica this summer with our 4 year old. Your 21 month old will be allowed to play in the Kids Club if one of you is with her. There were a lot of toddlers dancing in the lounges and having a great time. Because of the kids sail free promotion there were a lot more kids on board than I would have expected on a Baltic Cruise. My DD ate off the adult menu but they did have a kids menu at each meal and of course spaghetti bolognese was always available. There is no casual alternative for dinner but the grill (with hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken , etc) and pizzeria were open until 7. Some posters have said that it will be open later on Caribbean sailings. Check out the Family board here at CC to ask about sleeping arrangements. We sailed Celebrity when DD was a baby and they provided a pack n play. Not sure what MSC does for the little ones. My biggest advice for cruising with a baby is to avoid the temptation to overpack and try not to stress too much about her schedule. It will be different than travel as adults only or with an older child who can occupy herself but it can still be a a lot of fun. Enjoy your vacation.
