which tour - Oscar Brown/Odyssey??

We got off our cruise on Sunday. While we were in Costa Rica we took Oscar Browns tour. We liked it. The canal was part of our tour as was the banana place and rain forest. They were there waiting for us with a bus/van when we got off the boat just past the ship tours. Get there a couple minutes early so that you can get your spot on the bus. You may want to bring some lunch because there was no where to eat along the way and we were out for 5 hours. They have drinks on board and they stop to get coffee and nuts. We had 4 adults and 2 kids.

Need some help deciding tours. We are interested in doing the Tortuguero Canal and city tour. Have quotes from both Odyssey Tours and Oscar Brown tours. Which would you pick and why?

Thanks for the help!

Going in April 10.....are the prices that different between the two tour operators?

Thanks

We chose Oscar Brown as we did not want to do lunch and wanted a shorter tour. Here are the quotes from both:

Odyssey Tours:

1. Tortuguero canal boat tour.

2. Bananas plantations.

3. Visit the highest point in the area.

4. Lunch in front of the white sand beach.

5. City tour.

Nature guide, transportation back and forth (a/c, insurance, comfortable room), cold beverages on the van. We will wait for you at the exit of the pier holding a big sign with your name. We will meet you there.

Tour lenght: 7 hours. From 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Price: 65 USD a person. We need a minimum of 6 people to provide this rate.

Oscar Brown Tour:

Tour 1

The Tortuguero Canal tour is a tour through the rain forest, where as you go comfortable in a boat with cover to protect you from the rain and the sun. You will see all wild life: alligator, monkeys, slots, different type of birds, Then the tour will take you to the Bamboo trade school, banana plantation, coco beans farm, City tour, a white sand beach, the rich area, and a surprise stop; which will take you to the highest part of the city. I include soft drinks along the tour. We have a stop for the purchasing of souvenirs and coffee. This is $45 per person , and it goes for 5 hours.

Both have other tours available but we were interested in the canal and island tour.

Good luck!
