Does Conquest still require a credit card to open safe?

It has been a couple of years since my last cruise on the Conquest. Can any recent cruisers tell me if they changed the safes during the last dry dock to combination?

Any card with a magnetic strip on the back will work. It doesn't have to be a credit card. Use an old gift card with no balance, a preferred customer card from a grocery store, library card, old Sail & Sign card, etc.

Wouldn't anything with a magnetic strip work? If you didn't want to risk leaving a credit card lying around the cabin.

You're right. Anything with a magnetic strip. As HeidiHo said, an old gift card, library card, old sign and sail card.

:cool: I just got off Conquest yesterday, I tried a Hilton room card and a walmart gift card, both wouldn't work?? But the first time I used my DL it locked the safe. Take it from there.:confused:

Awwwe and I wanted to use an old Royal Caribbean :eek: Sign and Sail Card :p. I wondered if they changed things when it went into Dry Dock and they reburished the whole ship???
