iowagirl411 Posted September 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2009 What month are you crusing? I've been back a week from Glory Eastern. Did two tank dive in St. Thomas with the ship & the ocean was as smooth as I have ever seen. Excellent dives, 1 reef, 1 wreck. No complaints except the divers who went the next day in St. Martin saw sharks -small reefies.
dlbutler5 Posted September 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2009 St Thomas is excellant diving. It only tends to get rough on the Atlantic side during the winter. Most shops won't offer dives on that side during the winter. Try diving off of Coki Beach it is great and sheltered.
BlueC5Kitten Posted September 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2009 I dove there this past January...it wasn't bad, but the water was choppy on the surface, nice down below though (good viz)...needless to say, we were soaking wet (from the waves) before we even got in the water! If you can dive it, go for it!
