New to Crown and Anchor

Recommended Posts

The coupons used to be better, but as part of budget cuts they unfortunately got rid of most of the good ones. Probably the most useful one left is $5 of free internet time. Other than that there is not much of use - things like 10% of the spa (but the spa runs specials everyday and the coupon can't be combined with the special), $5 off if you bid $10,000 at the art auction, things like that.

Your friend can go with you to the party if she/he is in the same stateroom as you. The party was also a victim of cutbacks though; no more free cocktails.

Royal still has a nice product, but their loyalty program is no longer a strong point. There is minimal benefits until you are Platinum (five cruise credits) and even then the Crown & Anchor perks are not all that great.

We were on Mariner in June, and were served free cocktails at the welcome back party, along with some small hors d'oeuvres. It was in the Lotus Lounge, and was REALLY crowded.

The coupon book may contain 2-for-1 specialty coffee drink, 2-for-1 shakes in Johnny Rockets. But, like Gonzo said, most coupons are pennies off of something like, 5% off regularly priced logo gear.
