hollyberry Posted October 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2009 I am taking my golf clubs to Bermuda with us. I will be driving to the port, Do I need to put my clubs in the travel bag or will my bag hood be good enough? My wife says travel bags I say, no . Who is right? The-King Posted October 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2009 I have seen people carry them on-board without a travel bag. Just keep in mind they do have to be laid down/sent through an x-ray machine.
bakerintn Posted October 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2009 I think that depends on if you are going to carrry them on or check them. If checking them, I would put them in a hard travel case....think in terms of airline luggage handling. If carrying them on, I would think that a rain hood would be fine. salty dingo Posted October 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2009 The OP said he is driving to the port. I think they meant carry them on the ship or check them with a porter.

If giving your clubs to the dockside porters, I would use a hard case or whatever you have that is more protective than a rain hood, especially if your clubs have graphite shafts.
