Price Drop on D1/E1 cabins

Recommended Posts

I've been faithfully watching the prices on our D1 cabin and noticed that while every other cabin type up to JS has received a price drop in the last 3 months, the D1/E1 cabins have not received anything. While the D2/E2 balconies have great prices right now, we can't do those categories as they are only 2 to a cabin and we have 3 in our party.

Has anyone in either of these two categories ever seen a price drop after booking? Last time I checked with RCL the D1/E1 categories are only half full for our sailing, so I'm not sure what the deal is unless they expect to upgrade a lot of people.

When I booked this the difference between inside and balcony was approx $125pp, now the difference is almost $300pp. I'm seriously considering downgrading to the inside room. The cabin might be smaller, but $900pp will more than cover our onboard purchases.

Any thoughts?
