We are leaving from Ft. Lauderdale on 11/15 and going to St. Maarten's, St. Thomas and Grand Turks, (not necessarily in that order), but anyway, has anyone done this itinerary before? Also, any suggestions, or pros and cons to these different ports. 2nd time cruisers, so very new to all this still.

Thanks

Have been to these ports before and will be sailing to them again on our upcoming cruise on Oct.11th on the Emerald. Depending on what your preferences are--there's quite a bit to sample in St. Maarten and St. Thomas--shopping, several nice beaches, snorkeling, various excursions. Usually, you can get some decent deals on jewelry especially in St. Thomas. On Grand Turk, the main attraction is "Margaritaville". There's a nice pool with swim-up bar as well as a good number of lounge chairs on the beach. Check out the ports of call threads and see what posters recommend. You may pick up some good suggestions there.

There is something for everyone. Without knowing what you like to do, hard to suggest. St Thomas great for shopping. Great beaches or you can take the ferry over to St John. St Maarten, good beach right where the cruise ship docks or you can head over to the French side to Orient Bay Beach or perhaps to Margot for a sidewalk cafe. grand Turk - Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville right at the cruise ship terminal. Great pool with cabanas if you like.

Too many things to put in one short paragraph.

Hey, we are on the same cruise! Hopefully, you have signed up for Roll Call...we have quite a few members meeting for a sailaway party!

This is our third cruise and this is what we are doing at each location:

Princess Cays - Snorkeling

St. Maarten - Bernard's Tours

St. Thomas - Godfrey's Tours

Grand Turks - Island Tour and Governor's Beach for snorkeling; then Margaritaville before we get back on the ship.
