shaklee3 Posted October 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Just got this email today: Hola Visitor: Bad news.. we had a serios problem with marine national park authorities about a permission to run the tours inside marine national reef park and for the moment we can not offer our packages and services, so we are really sorry, but we cannot honor your reservation at this time. We feel really bad about letting you know of this situation on such short notice, but we just received the resolution from the marine park late yesterday. If you still want to make a reservation at Uvas, you can do it through your cruiseship shore excursion manager or at their website because they have and use a different marine park pemission for their tours to Uvas. Again, we are very sorry for this, and thank you very much Eduardo Playa Uvas
gottago2mexico Posted October 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Just got this email today: This has nothing to do with marine park permissions. Las Uvas is also being threatened by Carnival, just like all the other excursion operators are, so now no excursion operators that work with Carnival are allowed to be booked anywhere else - only through your ship for an inflated price. You can read more about it on the last post on this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1069333
shaklee3 Posted October 8, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 8, 2009 I don't understand then...Carnival has no excursions to any beach except Playa Mia on that day.
gottago2mexico Posted October 8, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2009 Notice on that thread, the Clear Kayak & Snorkel is one of the excursions that is no longer offered because of the Carnival offensive against the excursion operators. This is offered by Playa Las Uvas.
