Euros at the Casino

Recommended Posts

I am spending 4 days in Rome prior to the cruise. I am taking some euros to cover what I estimate, plus some. If I don't spend them in Rome or shore excursions, does anyone know if you can use euros on the ship's casino? Or do I have to take another hit on exchange, either on shore or at the pursers desk? I have never seen euros at the tables, but the cruise is in Europe this time (actually a TA).

Thanks for the info from those who have done this.

PS I do know about using the ATMs

I think they only take dollars, but you can exchange them at the Desk.

The on board exchange rates are usurious, worse than airports.

Best to exchange at your bank when you get home.

Casino on board use only American money. We spent 2 weeks in Italy and never once used a Euro.
