Just watched the Conquest Dock

Just watched the Conquest dock from our room at the Harbor House. (One of the best reasons for staying here.) Will be getting on her in a few hours. Woo Hoo!:D

I watched it come in too! But unfortunetly it was from my office computer as I sit at work! Enjoy your trip! I'll be on her in 118 days and counting! Is yours an Eastern or Western Itinerary?

We stayed there in August and really like it! It was our first cruise - so it was exciting to watch the Ecstasy come in the morning of the cruise.

 

It's pricey - but the rooms are HUGE .. It's basically just a continental breakfast .. yogurt, pastries, coffee ... not a hearty hot breakfast - but being so close to the ship we were some of the first on and went straight to lunch!! :)

 

My husband had dropped us off the night before and we walked our luggage over the next morning .. dropped it with the porter and got in line! (and I am NOT in shape and the walk wasn't TOO bad ... even in August!)

 

In April we plan on staying there for our cruise on the Conquest. They let you leave your car in the lot .. So this time we'll drive the luggage over and just walk to the ship!

 

They were hit pretty hard by Ike but apparently have most of the rooms finished.. The views are wonderful .. we sat in our window and watched the ship! We also watched the Conquest leave the evening before!

Here's a link to the webcam that shows you when shes in port, soon it will show the Ecsatsy when she is out of dry dock. I have spent many a Sunday morning watching her come in to port, its quite interesting how she turns around to dock. Enjoy..its quite addicting!

After you watch her pull away from the cruise terminal, click HARBOR on top of the image and switch to the Harbor Cam. Then you can watch as the Conquest sails by a couple of minutes later.

I m also watching Ft Lauderdale, and Port Canaveral, but for some reason Port Canaveral is blacked out maybe they do this when it gets close to them pulling out..:rolleyes:

I'm not sure if it's the gulf cam or the seawall cam but you can see the Conquest when she gets out in the gulf also. This has been fun watching her leave..only wishes I was on her!! Thanks for the location of all the cams.
