Embarkation RCI ships Vancouver

Sailing on the Serenade 8-14-05 what time did Embarkation start for those who have sailed with RCI out of Vancover? I sailed 5 years ago out of there and we got there around 130pm and stood in line for hours! I am no Diamond status so I hope this will not be an issue. We were planning on getting to the ship around 11am or is this too early?

When there is a delay in boarding the ship in Vancouver it because of the INS clearance. The advantage of doing this in Vancouver and at the Vancouver airport is that when you arrive in an Alaska port or a USA city there is no delay with immigration clearance. INS works very fast with Americians and Canadians but after 9/11 have spent time checking others.

 

Either arrive very early about 11AM or after 3PM when the lines thin out. This is advice I have received.
