Antigua - Scuba Diving

I'm new to this board, posting from Hamburg, Germany.

 

Have you ever been to Antigua and went diving there? Is there a dive shop you'd recommend to book your dives with?

 

My wife and me are there for a week at the beginning of december.

I have read bad reviews about the diving in Antigua. If it is anything like snorkelling......you cant see your hand 3 inches from your face. There was zero visibility.

We had trouble with an operator, and some other folks on this board had strange to bad experiences. If someone named Carlo answers your E-mail... run to another operation.

I was in Antigua in Nov. I had tried to find out info regarding diving in Antigua and couldn't find much at all. The only info. was the Island is very shallow and the diving poor due to that with crummy visibility most of the time. So I decided to snorkel that we were there. However, the snorkeling was horrible. Poor visibility. The rest of our group that did dive, wished they hadn't. Rough conditions and poor visibility.
