jenny wren Posted October 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2009 It is quite a walk to Petra but there are horses and carriages there (for a charge of course) which could transport you....we walked both ways and we're in our early sixties and of average fitness....we just wore trainers on our feet and took it fairly steady and it was fine......take a bottle of water as well...although it shouldn't be hot. If you go onto the Thomson website and look in the cruise section (you might have to do a dummy booking) for 'ports of call' and click on it there is a list of all the excursions available from each port and the prices...we did Hurghada as like you we'd already done a Nile cruise and Cairo. jacknorman Posted October 14, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Thank you very much jenny, so it looks like trainers and a coat. the petra trip is £79 and hurghada £26, so that will do us. cheers
