PhotogrFrGal Posted October 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2009 What is it like in Old San Juan on Halloween? Will there be more partying or will it just be a "normal" Saturday night?

You may see some going from store to store during the day in costume. I assume they can go to La Fortaleza (Governor's Mansion) to trick or treat. But adults will be partying in costumes- it is a Sat night with a theme! If you are here at night, bring a costume and go to a bar/club and enjoy! Will OSJ be more crowded than usual or will it just be Sat night, but with costumes? Trying to figure out what to expect.
RayInPR Posted October 17, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2009 Just found this ... Apparently, there will be "Halloween Fest 2009" in Luis Munoz Rivera Park (across the street from Escambron Beach) on Sunday, Oct 25 from 10am - 5pm. There's some info on Facebook ... http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=135196739325&ref=nf
PhotogrFrGal Posted October 18, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Thanks Ray - we will only be there on the 31st. Here on a Saturday Halloween it is a HUGE party. We are staying in Old San Juan and I was worried that it would be too crazy that night.
rainforestgirl Posted October 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2009 OSJ is not so small... Certain streets with bars/clubs will be busy. But "crazy", I don't think so. OSJ is a working/living city. Most of it will be as usual. Senor Frog's (a bar) is right near the Shearton. It will be crazy. Make sure you get a room away from the front. Guatiao Posted October 20, 2009 #9 Share Posted October 20, 2009 I guess the Hard Rock Cafe will host a costume party also...
