:) Any recco's on $150US max a night B&B's in Venice w/o tons of stairs in San Marco district that are nice & CLEAN?

Staying 2 nites before our cruise.

We LOVED our stay at a wonderful B& B in Venice, Palazzo Guardi. This was in May 2007, so not sure what their rates are now, but they were quite reasonable compared to other hotels in Venice. Lovely room and great breakfast just a 10-15 minute walk over the Accademia bridge to St. Mark's Square! http://www.palazzoguardivenice.com/rooms.htm

We stayed 2 nights this Sept. at the La Locandiera on a small campo minutes from P.San Marco. 9 large rooms with elevator, good A/C and marble bath, very clean in quiet, safe neighborhood. Great breakfast and very helpful staff. Can't wait to go back again. But we paid 150 euros per nt.

Not sure what 100 euros/nt buys these days in Venice.

Believe it or not, some of the best price/value places we've stayed in Venice are Best Western properties. They have several of them that they've acquired over the years and usually have very good rates, within your range (depending on dates, of course). Take a look at www.bestwestern.com.

I found them several years ago while planning a trip for 15 of us - we had seven rooms and all were nice, breakfast was good, there was a bar and an elevator.
