chrismxn Posted January 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2005 I will be in Barbados in early February on the Carnival Destiny. Can anyone tell me what time the shops stay open until. Just the basic touristy stuff. I plan on doing an Island tour in the morning, then hitting the Boatyard for the afternoon, Then shopping later in the afternoon/evening. Will that work or should I do my shopping earlier? I have read through this board and have seen some great shopping tips but never any times. Thanks Chris
Sunniebgi Posted January 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2005 I would recommend shopping early. Shops generally close around 5pm in Barbados. There are a few that stay open later, but mostly these are grocery and convience stores. Shops such as Earthworks Pottery, The Shops at Pelican Village (just outside the port), and many of the shops in Bridgetown close around 5pm. I am not sure about the shops within the port terminal, but I'll see if I can find out.
chrismxn Posted January 6, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted January 6, 2005 Thank you for your help. I may have to cut my time at the Boatyard a little. I can always go back for the evening festivities.
