abschnick Posted October 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2009 We are headed out on the Emerald this weekend and I was curious if anyone knew what the distance was on the running track on the upper deck. I usually end up on the treadmills because people are walking and it makes it difficult to run. Does anyone know if this is the same problem on Emerald. Thanks! princessmargaret Posted October 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2009 I am not sure of the distance, but the track is tiny. I thought as I walked it to get a sunset view, that it would feel like you were running in circles. It encompasse the golf area on the Sky Deck. If you look at the deck plan of the Emerald on the Princess website, you will see what I mean.

If you are a serious runner, you will not like it much. My dh took one look and decided it was much too small -- something like 16 or 23 laps per mile?! He ended up running early in the morning on the Promenade deck (about 3 times = 1 mile if I remember correctly). The only minor problem is that you have to go up and down the stairs at the bow. billet Posted October 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2009 If it is the same as most of the other grand class ships it is 16times round per mile
